Site Preparation
To ensure a smooth delivery and optimum longevity for your shed or structure, we ask all customers to prepare the intended site prior to delivery day. Please review our tips below and contact us with any questions or concerns. If you would like to hire us to prepare your site, please contact us. Thank you for choosing Ridgeview Structures!
Tight Spaces
If you need a structure to be placed in a tight space, a shed mule can be used. Additional fees may apply.
Decide on a Location
When purchasing a shed or backyard structure, you must first decide where it can be placed on your property.
Consider it’s purpose. If your new shed will house the lawn mower and gardening supplies, you might want to put your shed in the yard for easy access. If your shed is being used as a home office, you might want to keep it closer to the house.
Make sure that the location you choose is not obstructed by other buildings, power lines, trees or other important elements. The delivery truck and trailer will need to get to your chosen location, so you want to make sure the site is easily accessible.
If you are ordering a large structure such as a garage, your shed may be transported in multiple pieces and assembled on-site.

Create A Pad for Your Structure
Make your shed or structure last for years to come by preparing a proper pad to place it on.
To create a pad for your structure, level the area where it will be placed and cover the area with several inches of gravel or stone. Make sure the stone pad is about two feet larger than your shed dimensions. This helps minimize damage caused over time. By allowing water to run off the roof and drain through the stone rather than splashing water, mud, and debris on the outer walls of the shed, your shed will not be as sesceptible to rot-causing moisture.
Once the stone is placed, level it out. You are now ready for delivery!

Determine Delivery Fees
We deliver to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond. Delivery fees are based on the mileage from our sales lot in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania to the delivery location. There may be additional fees associated with the use of specialty delivery equipment and/or any assembly that may need to be completed on-site. Please contact us for a delivery estimate.
